The Men of Pitti

Source

Pitti Immagine Uomo is a collection of men's fashion events that is held twice a year in Florence, Italy. It was recently held on the 17th to 20th of June. Being the world's most important platform for menswear and accessories, you can only imagine how impeccably dressed the crowd there was.

Honestly, part of me wishes there was an African version of Pitti Immagine. I believe our beautiful continent has a lot to offer. Our talented designers are definitely not being left behind. Exemplary designs are being showcased in fashion weeks in Kenya, Africa and all over the world. Many are embracing our fashion and wearing it in our streets. In my opinion, that is absolutely admirable!

Anyway. lets get back on track. Let me tell you a little bit about the Pitti man. He is effortlessly gracing the streets of Florence holding a cigar and sometimes the classic good old pipe. His hair sleeked back and his blazer impeccably fitted with a perfect pocket square. His trousers snug, just above the ankle with debonair hard-soled shoes completing the look. He doesn't have to utter even one word to show you what kind of man he is because his personality is reflected through his style, proper manners and dapper minimalistic apparel.

Pitti men are revolutionizing the world of men's fashion. They show that it isn't only about how you look but also how you carry yourself out. It's a way of life. No more casual Friday with those loose hoodies, t-shirts and denim jeans. It's all about being that natty man, keen to colour, cut, print and accessories. Its about having that cool factor and reflecting it with your manners. Don't overdo it, just be a natty version of yourself.
